iBoxy Privacy Policy

Last updated June 1, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how iBoxy collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the iBoxy mobile app and related cloud services. iBoxy is designed to help you create, update, move, edit, and search storage container inventories by voice or text.

Information You Provide

iBoxy may collect the account email address, password credentials handled by the authentication provider, container names, container locations, item names, edits, search requests, sharing invitations, and support messages you choose to send.

Voice Recordings

iBoxy records audio only after you tap the microphone button. Recordings are used to transcribe and analyze your storage request, such as adding items, correcting inventory, moving a container, or searching.

Audio recordings are not intended to be stored after processing is complete.

AI Processing

iBoxy sends recording data, transcripts, and related inventory context to AI service providers so the app can understand natural language and update or search your inventory.

AI results can be imperfect, so you can correct inventory by voice or direct editing.

Free Mode

If you use iBoxy without an account, test inventory is stored on your device for a limited time, currently 72 hours.

Free mode data is not meant to be backed up to the cloud unless you upgrade or join a paid shared account.

Paid Accounts and Cloud Sync

If you upgrade or join a paid shared account, inventory data is stored in the cloud so it can sync across devices and be shared with invited users.

Cloud inventory may include container names, locations, item lists, edits, timestamps, account identifiers, and sharing permissions.

Sharing

Paid account owners can invite other users by QR code or email invitation. People who join a shared iBoxy account may be able to view, add, edit, move, and search the shared inventory.

Do not invite someone unless you want them to have access to that shared inventory.

Payments

iBoxy uses subscription service providers and the app stores to manage purchases, renewals, cancellations, restore purchases, and entitlement status.

iBoxy does not receive your full credit card number from Apple, Google, or the subscription provider.

Device Permissions

iBoxy requests microphone access for recordings and camera access for scanning sharing QR codes.

The app may also use device storage or secure storage to remember login state, free mode inventory, cached inventory, and app settings.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the app, process voice and text requests, sync paid account inventory, manage subscriptions, enable sharing, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, and communicate about support or account issues.

Service Providers

iBoxy may use third-party providers for cloud database hosting, authentication, AI transcription and analysis, subscription management, app distribution, diagnostics, and email invitation handling.

These providers process information only as needed to support the app.

Retention

Free mode inventory is intended to expire after 72 hours. Paid cloud inventory is kept while the account remains active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or maintain backups.

Audio recordings are intended to be deleted after AI processing.

Your Choices

You can edit or delete inventory items in the app, log out, cancel subscriptions through the app store, restore purchases, stop granting microphone or camera permissions in device settings, and request account deletion when that production workflow is connected.

Security

iBoxy uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including cloud access controls and secure storage where appropriate.

No app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

iBoxy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, providers, store requirements, or laws change. If changes are significant, we will update the policy date and may provide additional notice in the app.

Contact

For privacy questions or deletion requests, use Help and Support in the app until a dedicated public support address is added.
